Why do you think that Lucasarts won't talk about BF III, even with all the development/cancellation rumors that keep floating around?

My guess is that they're a VERY secretive company who don't like work-in-progress games being disclosed. It seems that they're one of those companies who only announce their games when they're absolutely sure it's going to be finished and has a firm release date. Hence that might be why they haven't discussed the leaks and rumours, because maybe they aren't sure the game will be released or the development isn't far enough for something to be shown.
Though it seems awfully strange why Lucas Arts never revealed Battlefront 3 even before Free Radical became defunct. I wonder (if Free Radical had never closed down) when LA planned to reveal the game, perhaps a month later or two?

Well, let's look at it from a logical perspective.
We know LA has the starwarsbattlefront3 domain for another few years.
We know that if LA had no plans for BFIII after the cancellation, they would have just said, "yep, it was in production, but it's cancelled so leave us alone."
If they really had no plans for the game, wouldn't they stop renewing the domain and tell us that when Pandemic died the game died with it?

I have some bad news relating to Battlefront 3, i just noticed that they have there sponsor page with Michael Giacchino.
http://www.sparkunlimited.com/studio_partners.html
Hes the guy that helped LucasArts make Fracture which is a 3rd Peson Shooter made with the Unreal Engine. NOT GOOD.
But why would they respond to my emails relating to my mechanical designing questions i asked them since i'm majoring that in college?
We really don't need a Fracture 2, that would be bad.
Thanks and take care - SWBFOnline.com

Dude, how is that bad news? You need to get your info straight. Michael Giacchino is a brilliant COMPOSER OF MUSIC. He recently made the score for Star Trek 2009, and he's certainly not a game developer. I'm glad they use his music, and I actually think this is good news since he has experience with science fiction music. I think new epic music along with the classic John Williams music would be awesome. As for Lucasarts not being under the partners, how stupid do you think they would have to be to say "Oh, we can't say what we're making," but then put down the name of a major publisher that people are hoping it will be? I'm just saying that just because Lucasarts is not a partner doesn't mean they aren't working with them by any stretch of the imagination. If they are indeed the developer, they certainly care enough about the project to not risk it being taken away from them, as evidenced by the numerous emails that have been sent to them. Have some faith in the ability to keep a project secret.

Composing is composing a tribute to a game, not only was it Fracture, he also did the other Spark games as well. you never know because what if he was hired to do it again and that game is another perfect description.

Listen mate, Fracture did poorly in sales and simply didn't get enough consumer attention to warrant a sequel. The game came out in the time period of Fallout 3, Gears of War 2, Fable 2, Little Big Planet, Left 4 Dead, Resistance 2 and many other AAA titles which obscured Fracture's identify and position in the marketplace.
i.e, not enough people bought it; hence no financial potential for future sequels.
And just because Michael Giacchino composed the score for Fracture, it does not mean his new collaboration with Spark has got anything to do with a new Fracture game. In my opinion, he could be doing the music for Battlefront 3, since he has worked for Lucas Arts (Fracture score) and Spark (Turning Point score) before, which already makes him well known amongst both companies. This would save a lot of time for the companies looking for willing composers who they are both familiar with.
And also, as mentioned by themightychez, Giacchino has worked with Science Fiction before, therefore giving this guy credence to the belief that he may well be composing Battlefront 3's score.
