Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception

Post by Scott »

Yep, U3 has been announced. What are your thoughts on the sequel to one of the best singleplayer games ever made?

I am looking forward to it actually. The first uncharted game was amazing. The second one was really good to, but I thought the story was a little weak and I didnt like its attempt at stealth. I'm hoping that the 3rd one can nail the stealth gameplay and provide a story more on par with the first.
Unless proof is provided BF3 does not exist.

I actually like the story better in the second. I also liked the stealth but do agree that it could've used a tad more polish. The third is sure to blow everyone away. Fingers crossed for a great Sony E3 showing.

Don't have an opinion since not a PS3 gamer. I would call this the best single-player PS3 game of all time but not OF ALL TIME.
"Geth do not intentionally infiltrate."
Harbinger- "ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL."

I'm just saying it would be the best for it's system and I played a lot of good 360 single-player based games.

But you still can't compare Uncharted because you haven't played it :P

U have to play it first. And yes i still think its the best single player out there. And about the story i have only played the second so idk about the first. The second was epic though.

I know someone who has a PS3 but doesn't have the game. Maybe he will let me rent it and try it out?

That's pretty bad if he doesn't have it.

Get Resistance 1 (and 2) while your at it. If you don't like a difficult game then don't get the first.

The guy I know (a relative) rents games a lot with Gamefly. He won't mind since he is not playing the PS3 right know. I have to ask him. He did play Uncharted 2 and says it's good.

When I went back to university back in september, I got up there to find that I was the first one back out of all my friends. So I spent three days doing nothing but playing Uncharted 2 (on my flatmates PS3), watching movies and nuturing a growing resentment for my landlord.

U2 was a brilliant game, I just could never get over the damn PS3 controls.

For me though the best single player experiance I have had was ME2

the analog sticks, compared to the 360 they are hard to move around and to make minor adjustments when sniping.

The 360 controller itself in my opinion, is just a lot better designed, the triggers located at the back of the controller work better than a button/cross breed between button and trigger at the top of the controller.

But hey, it could just be me and my years spent being playing an Xbox.

Could've been a lemon or roughly used controller. My first controller (purchased 4 years ago on the PS3's release) has analog problems. The sometimes stick or chug when moved. My new one however, is smooth and as easy to use as the 360's controller.

That is probably you just being accustomed to the 360's controller setup as I have no problem with the top buttons.

Most likely.

I just asked because I know some of my friends have a prejudice towards the PS3 so when I kick their ass in CoD they blame the controller, yet I move to the 360 and still win :)-
