IQ Tests

In an attempt to get some topics moving I thought it might be of interest to start one about IQ tests and scores. There are loads of them on the internet but very few which are at all valid. I did find one that is pretty thought provoking, regardless of accuracy: http://www.iqtest.com/

I did the test and scored 127. But what does that mean? I had to search around more but found varied results from different sources: http://iq-test.learninginfo.org/iq04.htm - http://giftedkids.about.com/od/gifted10 ... scores.htm

So, if you did the test, what did you get? Do you know of any other valid sites to do them? Other sites to explain the meaning of the scores? Have you ever had a IQ test be administered to you by a professional?

Just something that I've been thinking of lately.

I got 135 on one of them before...

I got 134 on that one you posted. Most of it was easy. Some parts were a little harder.

It was all fairly easy but I'm pretty sure it is heavily based on time as well. IQ tests in general, although a great concept, are a bit shaky to say the least. I saw some else take it and they got 143 yet I know they're general intelligence isn't THAT high. Maybe they have a hidden genius, or maybe they guessed, either way I wish there was something more definitive.

I suppose intelligence is best measured by personal success relative to luck.
