first i would like to say that i dunno if this would go here or in the ideas thread.
and i did post this on the front page but its not coming up.

there might be a secret trailer for battlefront 3 after beating force unleashed II on hard mode.

anyways; in 2005 four star wars games were released:Lego star wars, Battlefront II, Star wars Republic commander and star wars Episode III the game. along with four expansion packs to Galaxies and Star wars episode III the movie.

next year star wars the old republic and Lego star wars III are planned for release. as well as that Kinect star wars game. making 3 games so far. i wont be surprised if they release an expansion pack for force unleashed II next year either. if BF3 were to come out next year that would make 4 mainstream star wars games.

it is also possible that LA will have a beta released for BF3 next year and have the full one released in 2012. if im not mistaken star wars 3D is released in 2012 allowing for BF3 to come out along side a star war movie just as BF2 did.

with the beta for BF3 in mind. it possible that they would give beta codes for BF3 for next year either by pre ordering a a star wars game or being selected to play the beta. if they do it that way then it is highly possible the the game will not come out until 2012 and they would have a "open" beta for the game a month before it comes out. and it will come out in 2012. it would be released either 2 months before or after the new star wars theatrical 3d movies comes out.

We could speculate all day (which we do as this is a fan site ) but I'm not sure if that's a valid argument. The developing and release cycle is not systematic. It is usually fairly consistent but it changes when it is needed.

As for the rest of what you said, it seems to be what you hope, rather than what you think we'll happen. That would be great if it does get released, but publishers don't develop games just to hit a quota.

If LA doesn't want their games to be developed externally, then the likelihood of a four LA-games a year will be slim. They refuse to just come out and say, "there isn't a bf3 in development, so calm down people!!!" That in itself gives some hope.

Regarding 3 or 4 possible SW games coming out next year, what about this particular one

That might be the Kinect star wars game that was demonstrated at E3. May also becoming out on the PS3 with the Move.
