Needless to say, let's keep BF3 in our hopes.

Well, as far as I know, Lucas Arts has a booth so it may be the year (not to say LA doesn't have other games to present).

what do you guys think about the new stuff that has popped up recently about BF3?

We all know the list was probably a fake but what about the gamespy thing?

I don't know about the list or the gamespy thing. Maybe completely fake, maybe not.

The list has merit considering that some the properties have been unofficially announced (Elder Scrolls V) or under a heavy wave of rumours (BF3). Hard to say, but most likely a list catering to speculations.

The GameSpy server is even harder to tell if it's fake or not. I assume it's a fake because LA would have to be fairly dumb to have servers up for a game that couldn't be slated to hit store shelves till Fall.

Hard to say really...

I have not checked the gamespy thing in detail and I do not doubt its authenticity but I do find the psp server for BF3 a little hard to believe, unless they are planning on releasing an enourmously scaled down version of the game along side the console and PC versions.

That being said, I really hope I am wrong on thisn and that we get our game announced this year at E3

I say it's very plausible. LucasArts and GameSpy have been entirely silent since the incident. Leading me to assume they've got something to hide. I can almost guarentee you the list was fake, but the GameSpy thing is a little bit different. Either GameSpy knows something and was to stupid to avoid putting up servers prior to the announcement, or they are pulling a Valve move and just trying to be jerks and trick us into getting our hopes up for nothing. Pray that it is not.

Well, I'll try to explain it the way I see it. You see, when I company loses a physical prototype (like the iPhone 4G/HD) that company will do what ever it can do get it back or at least out of people's hands. The reason being is that people could very easily tell if it is what it's rumoured to be (in the case of the new iPhone, take it apart and see if the specs are different, or turn it on). If something digital gets out (servers, box art, etc) then it's easier to stay quiet than to get worked up about it. If these servers were found and then Lucas Arts got GameSpy to take them down, that would tell everyone they were real. If they stay quiet, people will assume they are fake. Same with box art, if Lucas Arts had lost some in the WWW then they could just stay quiet, or lie saying it's probably fan art.

But of course I could be wrong...

Also, because they're is no shoutbox, I'd like to ask everyone to come check out my Just Cause 2 review that should be up on the site in the next little while. I promise it will be more interesting then the game's story.

I want Bioware to announce a new RPG game. Either Mass Effect 3, Dragon Age 2, or something suprising.

I think they'll announce a Dragon Age expansion (wasn't there a teaser box art or some clock?) but I doubt a full fledge sequel to any of their games because they are pretty focused on the Old Republic right now I would assume.

How ever, Casey Hudson (one of the lead producers at BioWare) said in an interview that they expect Mass effect 3 to come out sometime next year. Expect that they'll either announce it at E3 or the ComicCon.

I don't know, it seems early. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

about a game called DUST 514, I know its set in the EVE universe but don't know much else, either way I am keen to see if E3 will throw up anything about it this year.

Never heard of it but I have heard of EVE. Looks interesting.
