I'm doing well. I'm actually on vacation visiting my parents' place right now so it's nostalgic posting here again where it all started haha

I hear you! I got the 3-year renewal notice for the domain, and I thought, I miss that site and board. So, I started digging through backups and here we are. I think I'm a few years behind though, the latest backup I found only went back to 2013.

I'm working on restoring the old site and will likely migrate the legacy content to a new platform. Then I have a few idea's in mind.

Congratulations to you and your wife! Yep, though I ended up moving to Toronto ~8 years ago.

Are you still out east? I was actually in PEI last year to visit some family.

How do you like living in the city?

I wasn't sure how to contact you but in retrospect I think I may have you on LinkedIn. I'll definitely be going back in the future so I will let you know.

It's great. I grew up in a town for a few hundred, but I do slightly prefer city life. It's nice to have both though.

Are you still working for the government?

Are you going to be a lifer do you think? I just passed 7 years and I'm not sure about it myself.

Yeah, I don't think I'd go anywhere at this point. I'm in a senior position and anything higher would be management and I don't really have any interest in that.

Where are you working now?

That's fair. The job market in tech right now isn't great either.

I'm at CBC. I lead two different teams so I'm softly in management but most of my work is still centered around technology. It's a good balance between the two for me right now though I could see going back into a purely production role in the future. I miss programming some days.

Do you ever come out to Ontario?

Oh, that's awesome!

I haven't been out that way in years. Last time was to Montreal for a concert, my brother lived in TO for a while while he was in college, so I was able to stay with him a few times.

Ah that's too bad. If you ever end up in Toronto let me know and I'll buy you a beer
