I think that there should be pirate groups like Black Sun against Bounty Hunters or something? What about the New Jedi Order/New Republic against the Imperial Remnant? Add your thoughts to the crowd!

I'm fine with more factions, provided they can all remain unique. I don't think 'bounty hunters' would be good as a faction, not only because bounty hunters aren't really suited for frontline warfare, but because pretty much every bounty hunter character would fall firmly into 'hero' status.

The option to customize which sides fight which would be nice to have.

Even the ability to remove canon and have some Republic vs Rebels or CIS vs CIS battles. Why the heck not?

Yeah I agree with that- would definitely want that.
You could also have the Yuuzhan Vong Empire against the New Republic or the New Jedi Order.

Admiral Thrawn's Imperial Army vs. The New Republic
