I'm just wondering about opinions here. Would it lead to WWIII? Nuclear holocaust? I mean, seriously, China owns the US, because we owe like 14 trillion dollars to them!

It's a bit more complicated then that.

It's not as if it would start a war anyway. Unless China said they wanted some land to attempt to pay back the debt, the US would obviously decline, and war MAY be declared.

I wouldn't worry, it's probably going to be someone else's problem.

i would be kinda happy because i know many americans who believe the Good Ole USA is the strongest country in the world and i say to them that China has a bigger army and they say a bunch of asians could do n othing to the US so when it does happen i'll laugh at them

Know who ELSE would be taken over if China decided to steamroll the western hemisphere? uh-oh.

It simply isn't going to happen. Both sides know what sort of (severely negative) impact it would have on the world if either of us were to suddenly vanish.

Or they could just stop lending us money. That would cause economic crisis.

na it would canada is mostly thick forest, china would have a hard time trying to find us and fight us(gurillea warfare) The US is mostly cities so they just have to bomb the cities

I see you don't know a whole lot about how wars work.

I'm going to pretend that 'just bombing the cities' is as easy as you seem to think it is. All the trees in the world aren't going to magically protect you if they flatten whatever major military/economic/government zones you do have. At that point you've already lost, and your Wolverines there just become a bunch of dudes with guns hiding in the woods with no idea what the hell they're doing.

They've got a bigger army. So obviously that means they'd still win no matter what, right? Is that not what you said?

Believe it or not, military operations are not all about who has the larger numbers, or who can kill the most guys on the other side.

On the geography side of things, the majority of the US' big cities are located along the coasts, with the most vital ones (Washington DC, New York,etc) on the Eastern side, which would be damned hard for China, North Korea, or any other Middle-Eastern/Asian territory to lob a missile/bomber at without it being shot down by the numerous allied countries they'd have to pass to get here. Furthermore, as you travel inland you'll find that the States contain all sorts of forests, mountains, swamps, deserts, and prairies, so I don't know where you got that 'mostly city' statement from. Just because you don't see them in all the movies and videogames doesn't mean they don't exist.

If a war broke out between China and the U.S.. we would all be screwed, end of story.
