Battlefront III is still on!

I heard the news that Spark Unlimited's secret project was Lost Planet 3 this morning. I was heartbroken, as I'm sure many of you are. I; however, decided to dig a little further and have found some encouraging information...

1) Previously, Spark Unlimited has released two different games in the same year. Legendary and Turning Point: Fall of Liberty were both released in/around 2008, meaning that Spark Unlimited has the production capacity to work on two titles simultaneously.

2) It is my understanding that the Lost Planet games are produced by Capcom, which does not explain Spark Unlimited's meeting with Lucasarts.

3) Spark Unlimited responded to a tweet by Alex Wolf(3081wolfa) about Spark Unlimited's alleged development of Battlefront III with another tweet saying "there is another." at 9:17 AM April 10th, 2012. This is a direct quote from Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back by Yoda.

[as Luke leaves before completing his training]
Yoda: Told you I did. Reckless is he. Now, matters are worse.
Obi-Wan: That boy is our last hope.
Yoda: No. There is another.[/color]

I know Spark Unlimited has already made multiple Star Wars references in its tweets before, so this may or may not be helpful; however, if Spark Unlimited had been "trolling" before this announcement, there is little reason for them to continue making these references unless their second project really is Battlefront III

4) So far I have not seen Spark Unlimited explicitly state they are not working on Battlefront III, only that one of their two projects is Lost Planet 3 rather than Battlefront III.

I hope these reasons point to something good in the Battlefront series' future... :)

I also posted this as a comment elsewhere but I put it here as well... I wasn't sure if the comment posted properly and I didn't want this information to go unnoticed.

Seems like I didn't quite dig deep enough. Since Lost Planet 3's announcement Spark's twitter feed has been pretty full. Thanks for all the corrections. :)

Maybe one day we'll see a real Battlefront sequel...

In hindsight, we can see it was just a marketing ploy for us to follow them on Twitter. They were exploiting our constant speculation about their connection to BF3 so they decided to play along.

Of all the things developers can learn from Spark's PR (there's a lot), the most relevant/most important (to us) I think would be: Just because you might be making our game doesn't mean you're making friends.

Lie or deny. At least, don't waste my time.

The wii game could have been that shitty jedi alliance crap but I think the wii game was a cancelled/postponed sequel to my favourite Gamecube game Rogue Squadron 2/3. I remember coming accross some evidence to support this. http://www.videogamesblogger.com/2009/0 ... old-it.htm so that could be the internally developed flight sim that LA is doing. Also I think that LA might be doing a armed and dangerous sequel. Heck I'll even take a Tie Fighter online or online space fighter sim at this point.

All I can think of is LA is definately up to something and I dont care what ever the releqase is gonna be awesome just for the love of humanity no more galactic dance off crap.

...I'm going to buy it. Also, have you seen the trailer, or have you read the previews? It seems to be VERY promising!
If Spark is making Battlefront 3 also, I would be very happy! Although, it doesn't seem as though they are...
