Battlefront3.net

Well, since there has been a lot of speculation about this 'Battlefront Online' I have decided to do a bit of research into the topic and came up with a theory. If you think about the title then it being a download only makes sense starting with the name 'Battlefront Online'. Most likely LucasArts is going to copy what Battlefield Bad Company 2/Battlefield 1943 like if you download it on the marketplace you will recieve something for Battlefront 3 if they EVER plan to release it.

Well, that's an interesting theory.

Like if you look at the picture it actually looks a lot smaller scale and doesn't seem as big the leaked gameplay video. Even though it bears the Battlefront 3 watermark it still looks like something from a download only game.

It sortof does. Lets see if the theory pans out

I am hoping there will be either a leak or at the very least a rumor showing some snippet of news that could support this theory. Oh this maybe off topic but there is a massive amount of hysteria going on about Infinity Ward and I am scared they will eventually be closed. But anyways back to the topic.

That makes a lot of sense and is a good marketing idea but....

You have to consider these two points:

- Lucas Arts is dumb and has no marketing intelligence what so ever
- Many companies still release online only games as discs (MAG, COD MW2 is basically online only with sub par single player, etc) which is the only thing Lucas Arts can pull off

If it does exist I just hope its not going to be based on the Clone Wars saga otherwise it will be complete crap.

I mean if they only did the Original Trilogy then it would be excellent and if they release dlc every so often it would be great. I just wish they could make a new console Battlefront with the Yuuzhan Vong War then it would be great.

Yuzzhang Vong isn't that important. I'd much rather the Mando Wars.

The Mandolorian War would be a great for Battlefront but I bet good old George Lucas would probably not include it because little kids think the Mandolorians are cool and he would most focus on the Clone Wars probably. I still wish they would include it.

It isn't Lucas's decision.

No, it is his decision because he is the publisher of Star Wars games and can decide what gets put in or what gets taken out.

It may not just be his decision but he gets the deciding vote.
