I pre-ordered Batman: Arkham City yesterday. If you haven't played the first one, Arkham Asylum, I highly recommend it. Just give it a try. It's actually incredibly well made and detailed.

I recently bought the entire half life series (that they have made) off steam. Can't believe I never played through the series, if you haven't done so, check it out!

Half Life's pacing is waaaaaaay to slow. It feels like the original Deus Ex in that respect.

Err...I mean I hope you enjoy it.

I felt the same. I played HL on The Orange Box on Xbox 360 and was frankly bored by it. It also didn't help that Portal is on the same disc and I fell deep into that game and bought the sequel and don't think I'm coming back out.

Yeah I'm working my way through it but I agree its pacing is quite slow.

There have been some brilliant moments throughout the game though.

However, they never really laid out the story line between Half life 1 and 2 that well. People just started shooting at me and everyone was on about how screwed humanity was. A nice briefing at the beginning of the game would have been nice.

Also, who the hell is that man with the briefcase, or more importantly who does he represent?

There's no briefings because the game expects you to do these things called 'observing' and 'thinking.' Just flat out explaining everything at the beginning would be boring.

The guy with the briefcase is called the GMan. Who he works for/why he does it is ambiguous. Again, another case where just telling you who he is would be bad writing.

Settle down. It's just Half Life.

Anyway, I recently pre-ordered Skyrim for the 360.

I feel Skyrim is going to be overrated, but I've never cared for the elder scrolls games in the first place.

I just got Minecraft(Finally)

And that is your opinion, I feel that it won't live up to the hype. It might, but it probably won't blow me away. I've tried some of the other Elder Scrolls games, and the only problem I have with them are the story, or rather, the approach they take. They try to have you live the story, which is ground breaking, but it just leaves me wandering around the overworld until I finally get to where I'm supposed to. Now if they were to give me a better sense of where I'm going, then I might have different thoughts, but until that happens, I'll remain skeptical.

With that said, if you think Skyrim is going to be one of the best games ever, more power to you. I just want to voice my opinion.

It's been a complain for quite some time from fans that they do too much hand holding in the game. In Oblivion they explain how the compass and map system works, allow quick travelling and have characters explain the location in many cases.

You may dislike the game, but I'm not sure you know why yet.

My comrade just gave me Dead Island.

While he was here, I managed to finish Battlefield 3's ~3 hour campaign in one sitting. The hell?

Your're either a pro at battlefield or the campaign is really short..
