Which is why this would be a good as another mode but the standard mode should be relatively the same. Galactic Conquest has to be redone but how it is to changed would be a very long winded list and discussion. Perhaps another thread would be in order for that. It is a strong point in the series though and they better do something bigger with it then what they did with the first two.

I think capturing small command posts should be the same as in BF2/1, but think it should be different for things like bases. Since all the systems are "loyal" to the controllers, if that makes sense.

Larger bases could be captured differently but how? Not a big fan of destroying objects to do so and covering an area is how you would capture a strategic position in real life.

I believe he meanse having certain troops protecting or attacking a certain area on the map.

In order to fully take control of base though, you would have to commandeer the systems, make sure the sensors are not communicating with the enemies, to make sure the turrets systems don't attack friendlies, to reseting the locking mechanism in the armory.. etc.

That would be pretty cool like you have to get rid of viruses on the databases and engineers can do it faster.

I understand, but something's make sense to destroy. For example: what use would a Confederate droid factory, filled with inactive B1's, B2's, and droidekas , be to the Clone army? They would want to destroy that ASAP.

Just hiding behind something. I like the fact that the enemy doesn't follow you through walls in UC2 and hope more games implement it.

EDIT: Wow am I mistaken. I thought this was a different thread. I meant just keeping hold of an area from the enemy.
