I don't know if someone was at the E3 2012 page but this year LucasArts has an official booth at the E3. It seems something big is planned:
But what? Battlefront 3? Time will tell.

Last year LucasArts had just a normal conference room but this year they have actually a booth! Hopes come up again. :3

I'd hope Spark doesn't touch it all, even if it was the same genre. They have a horrible track record and that makes me nervous. I'm sure with all the new hires they are but a remnant of the old Spark, but it still worries me.
They don't have a 'good' track record because they've only made three games. Give them a chance.

Two of the three first Insomniac games were Spyro games, two of the three first BioWare games were Baldur's Gate games, Infinity Wards first three games were CoD, CoD 2 and CoD 4. Three games often gives a good feel for the company, and Spark has been having a good feel.

I think they are aware of the success-pressure to deliver a great product.

Well they were all new companies that took pride in their work. Spark's attempts have not looked like they care all that much. I will admit it may be due to budget or time constraints, but a good dev should be able to work within their budget (time or money) right?

Well if they are good, then it would be a good example, wouldn't it? :P

Yes but the games that come afterwards are not.

Meaning the first three games do not show what the developer would be like in the future.

I think that has to do more with publisher pressure. The publisher funds them and owns them. If they didn't want another CoD, they'd be allowed to pitch a new IP, but Activision wants more CoD. A lot more. Blame Activision. IW is a great developer.

I have to agree on that im sure they could make a better call of duty if it was required to be released every year

I'm completely fine with Spark Unlimited making the game as long as it is good. Hopefully they really are making it because we have been waiting for this game for a very long 7 years.

Honestly I wish there wouldn't be so much negativity toward Spark Unlimited here. :8(: They have hired lots of new people so very few employees from their past games are working on their current games. Let's all just appreciate that maybe, finally someone is working on Battlefront 3. :D

It's a safe bet we are centered around it.

You are pulling two things that are two unrelated. So what is your point?
