Did you watch episode 5 yet? If so, what are your thoughts?

It's one of my favourite seeing as both my favourite characters are the lead.

It was okay, kind of a textbook entry from a kid show sense, but it's better than a lot of kid show plots that are on TV now and days.

It did use the word lame more than I'm usually comfortable with but c'mon, it had RD and PP, the two best characters.

That's rough, but to each his own. The arguments between people over whether RD is the best or worst is probably the biggest conflict people have managed to come up with.

A really good parody is Shed.MOV and Apples.MOV. Be warned, they're both violent and crude, but very funny. Cupcakes is another popular video that originates from a fan fic which is like a crossover with the Hostel movies. Very violent and disturbing, but you don't like PP

I don't like because she's Hyper, Always happy go lucky, breaks into weird songs at the worst times, and is oblivious to everything. Who knows, that might change as the series goes on.

I'd be okay with toning her back a bit, but not getting rid of the happy attitude altogether. I guess we'll see.

I heard season 2 premiere is very weird but I've got some catching up to do until then...

Of course they shouldn't get rid of the happy, it's a show for 5yr olds. But yes, they should tone down, even if it's just a little.

For fan fictions that I know will interest you, Scott, read My Little Dashie. You will cry. That story is so well written, and so good. But it's sad. Really really good, but really really really sad. Also, there's a fiction that's sort of adventure called Moonspire Run. The bottom of the page will say "next chapter" for when you're done with the one you are on. It's a pretty good story that makes you appreciate Rainbow's personality a lot more.

Note: Just click on the names of the things I said you should look at/read to get to them.

p.s. STAY AWAY FROM CLOPFICTIONS. CLOP IS BAD BAD BAD. You know what erotica is, right? The written pornography that you read (redundant on purpose.) Clop = Pony erotica. It's sad and sickening that people read and enjoy that. Eww. There are also pictures that people make. Even sadder and even sicker.

p.s.s. There's another bad type of fanfictions called Grimdark. Grimdarks are not necessarily all bad, but most of them are. Grimdarks often involve torture and murder described in graphic detail, or some other cynical action. The two most popular grimdarks are Cupcakes, which is the story of Rainbow Dash being mutilated alive by Pinkie Pie. There is a story, and it's well written, but it will give you nightmares. And ruin your life. The other popular grimdark is Sweet Apple Massacre, but I haven't read this one (I unfortunately read Cupcakes before I liked ponies. Long story.) From what I've been told, it's about the Apple Family and the Cutie Mark Crusaders all being violently killed and mutilated in some manner, by I think Big Macintosh, who is a member of the Apple Family. Apparently, Big Macintosh also brutally rapes all three of the CMC's.

Read neither of those aforementioned grimdarks, and read other grimdarks at your own risk. Just be sure to read the description of a story before you read the story itself.

p.s.s.s. Shipping isn't clop. Shipping is defined as romance in some form between two characters from the show. It's apparent even in one of the shows, Shipping is usually very light. It's okay sometimes, because it can be kind of cute. Make sure you stop here and don't go further into the dark side of ponies.

I haven't read My Little Dashie yet, but I have seen pictures based on it. Since the b'aww thread I was in last night, I'm done with feeling sad for a while. My heart was stomped on pretty badly...

I have't read any clopfics but have seen plenty of images inspired by them. I did say I got to /mlp/ on 4chan after all. They try to keep it SFW but I think that sometimes the janitors and mods don't care that much. Not a fan of it since I'm more interesting in the innocence of the characters rather than the sexual nature of them.

The one fanfic I have read was Cupcakes. Violence and gore doesn't really bother me but it's not something I really want to read about in the MLP universe either.
