Hey everyone, Medal of Honor is $12 on the American Walmart.com

Which one, the old Playstation one, or the crappy re-boot?

Stop liking what I don't like!
Why is that you like Duke better than LA Noire though? I'm sure there are many reasons. I see LA Noire as the alternative genre of video games but am curious to hear what you have to say.

It just doesn't seem to fit with other Rockstar titles.
They went through all the trouble of recreating 1940's LA to the T, but you never get to really see it. You can ignore the hell out of your current case and just drive around looking at stuff, but there's absolutely NOTHING do to besides a few random dispatch calls. Outside of that the city is friggen DEAD. And it's a shame because this a really colorful and nice-looking city. Especially considering the theme.
You can't shoot at anything or even pick a weapon unless the game pretty much puts the gun in your hand (and the 'run' button is the same as the 'shoot' button. That's a nice exercise in accidentally shooting a pedestrian while chasing somebody) The gunfights only consist of 1 or 2 enemies at a time, and there's no such thing as taking somebody down non-lethally. But for some reason whenever you do kill somebody you get a nice cutscene of Cole looking all sad while the guy you just killed via shot to the foot gets loaded into a coroner's ambulance, which always makes me think there was a way to not kill him. Which there isn't, aside from 1 or 2 scripted situations.
I know too well that every gunshot is a potentially lethal one in reality, and that less-than-lethal solutions to problems weren't exactly a big priority in the 40's, but it's a friggen videogame. Even GTA IV and RDR occasionally had people survive their wounds.
The actual 'collect evidence and tell if people are lying' thing works pretty good though, I like that. But overall, I felt more like a cop playing S.W.A.T. 4.
Meanwhile; Duke Nukem gave me exactly what I expected of it: Shoot everything that isn't human. And it does that well. The 'only carry 2 weapons' thing is kinda dumb though. Especially since a lot of the weapons are just gimmick stuff like the shrink/freeze ray.
Or maybe I'm just a terrible detective.
Also, potential spoiler for RDR and LA Noire (Select text to read):
If the next Rockstar game introduces a character named 'Jack' at any point, I'm going to stop playing it. Because at that point I already know how the game will end.

If I were told to review the LA Noire I would honestly find it incredibly difficult. While I enjoyed the game immensely I wonder if its just because I was sick with the FPS-blues. Not having to kill people was actually enjoyable for me because I was not used to that in a video game.
At the same time this is a poor way to grade a game as it is then heavily influenced on your current thoughts and not looked at objectively. I agree with many of the things you said but because I'm not reviewing it and just looking at from my personal enjoyment I liked it a great deal.

I'm waiting for Serious Sam 3 for that kind of fun.

Well, I'm no reviewer. As I've said, I don't like to let other people decide what I like, nor do I expect them to make decisions based off my thoughts. LA Noire isn't bad. It just feels like it's missing a lot.
But again, maybe it's because I'm a terrible detective. And that most of my family consists of either police or military personnel.
EDIT: I've been looking around and it turns out that Team Bondi cut 2 entire departments from the final game. Burglary and Fraud. 11 cases total between the two. What gives?

Portal 2 is probably my most recent game.
Other games I have got semi-recently are:
Minecraft (Need explanation?

)
Age of Empires Online (
http://ageofempiresonline.com/) -- This game is still in it's early days, and definately not without it's problems, but I like it.)

People are still wasting their money for stuff that should have been in the game to begin with?

I hate DLC's

They completely ruin the games.

Dragon Age's was fun. I got some cool armor and besides it was like 30 Dollars anyway. Waiting for a Mass Effect 2 GOTY Edition for all the DLC.
Oh I don't have xbox live to get the DLC anyway.
