Yea something like that with good physics. But I think they should use the havok engine rather than Euphoria. Just because havok is used more so it has a lot of games that make it work awesomely like, Halo, Assassin's Creed and a bunch of others.

And maybe holes in the wall where blaster shots hit.
I think a small burn mark or a fire might be more appropriate for lasers.

I think the damage to walls should be different depending on the thickness of whatever is being shot.

The Havok and Euphoria engine are the same engines.

No they aren't... they are 2 separate engines.
Lucasarts modified the Havok engine so they could run DMM and Euphoria with it.

Using one engine, and modifying it technically makes it the same engine. Just with a few differences......... just like the Unreal engine. No matter what changes you make, its still based off the original engine.

It might make em a modified engine and therefore the same, but they can be used separately so that makes 2 engines. So if engines are modified and then combined it does make them the same but only for that game. Havok has been used without Euphoria, and Euphoria has been used without Havok.

Uh, well with whatever is behind the engine I would have to agree something more like Force unleashed would be awesome! Of course it would not need as much physics going on because you would not have a Jedi destroying freaking everything.
Speaking of Jedi I hope the Jedi heroes of BF3 move and behave more like Starkiller than they do in BF2, Just not anywhere near as powerful obviously.
I also love the idea of affecting the environment and possibly having something big change the playing field, as long as you don’t have holes being blown through everything and through all the walls. That would be too much and distract from the main game play I think.
Obvious YES to Space/Ground combat at the same time, no annoying cutscene when you fly into space.
Bigger areas inside flagships. More weapons & vehicles . yes & yes
Random environmental hazards
- Rancors
- Man-eating plants on Felucia
- Lava splash danger on Mustafar
- Tatooine Tarlac Pits like from BF2
- Hoth Snow Wampas
- etc...
YES, YES & YES!
Having a third element that both sides have to beware of is brilliant in my opinion and makes the whole thing feel more real and diverse! I would like to add that there should be an option to turn this off if you don’t want to have this stuff in your online room or single player game but environmental hazards should be turned on by default because it is that freaking awesome!

Just an idea but the whole ground to space thing?
Have the capital ship have a set amount of ammunition it can fire at ground level targets?

Turbo lasers need ammo.

Maybe ammo could be tied to command posts.
More CP's = More Supplies = More Ammo

That was the best idea iv'e ever heard but then I thought its beginning to sound that there is too much in the game. How would you get the supplies and load them on the ship? Get a shuttle perhaps and land it on the supply building and theses guys come out and load your shuttle. There should be AI characters that do that job or you can barge-in/take-over and do it yourself.

That's thinking a bit too far into it. A simple ammo recharge is all that's needed. More CPs = faster resupply.

It would automatic, like Kelevra said

What's about the capital spaceship crashing on the ground when defeated?!
Would be freakin' awesome.
Or as another possibility it could crash somewhere in the background where the player can't go but watch it.
