I'm really doubtful of Spark Unlimited, although their name couldn't be more appropriate for a game featuring Siths.
  • 1. I don't believe they're a AAA-quality studio.
    2. They are still hiring for their next project, so they can't release on March 8th.
    3. In a July 16th article on this site, they said:
"...the game for which [we] are hiring won’t be announce[d] for some time… maybe Comic-Con 2011."
So, if they are the right developers, we can't expect an announcement anywhere (VGAs), anytime soon.
I need to see these scans.
Lost Planet was my second guess, but I couldn't figure how there'd be enough sword play to mention it.

I havent posted in a long time (forgot my passwrd) but after reading this post I feel the need to repeat what I said back in the summer, well kinda.

doesnt anyone find it a little odd that the game has a "set release" date in 3 months yet the game hasnt even been announced yet? Not many companies announce and release a game so close to eachother, heck even the awful CoD series waits about a year between their game announcement and release.

And just because TFU2 was announced last VGAs does not mean another SW game will be announced this year.

That being said I too would like to see these scans OP mentioned. Because when it comes to my negativity towards the release of this game I really do want to be proven wrong
Unless proof is provided BF3 does not exist.

I tend to agree about the release date, but you know how Gamestop works. They use placeholder release dates. I am also concerned about the studio. Its games are very poorly rated. However, I did notice it was mainly original story design that killed them, and in Battlefront's case, they would be using an established franchise. As for the "maybe Comic-con 2011", that quote was said in July. A lot can happen in 6 months. I'm just saying it's still possible.

"I want to make it clear that the Pandemic brand and franchises will live on," wrote Earl in the memo. "In the months ahead, we will announce plans for new games based on Pandemic franchises. This type of change can be difficult. But the situation calls for us to act decisively, to take control of our destiny and to run a stronger, more focused development operation. That's how we will continue to make great games in our LA studios."

The EA spokesperson also confirmed that the Pandemic brand and franchise are still alive and well, and that EA is still very committed to it.

A little bit, yes. Some games are announced soon before release. There's a lot of E3 displays that are released at the end of the year.

Did someone say that :?: If so, then of course that means nothing. It can be a glimmer, but at this point I'd rather something more.

They don't just start making the game at release. It's usually at Alpha (everything's there just not polished) if not further than that at the point of announcement.

I think he was mostly referring to the game franchises started there because the branch was closed.

How are they going to make a good shooter in the Star Wars Universe? *falls over* EA has the money to make anything great (regardless of what you people think about online) and I have no doubts that a Star Wars game published by them wouldn't be great.

when i said that they just started highering i was saying that it wouldent be announced because they havent even started makeing it yet so it would not be in the vga and wont be relesed in march

ea had been working on sabator after the closed down pandemic and to think about it if ea is makeing the game ea has the 2 founders of the company who probubly have the specs for the game to finnish it and the severs found on game spy showed that they has servers up doing something so lets time line this real quick

august:servers found suggesting alpha testing
game usualy releases a little less then a year after alpha testing stars

december vga's; thats a 4 month leap and granted that they announce the game and is is released in march

march: 3 month leap game comes out thats 7 month plenty of time to polish a game that was alpha testing so thats posibal

Spark has not just now started hiring (Pro-tip: that's spelled "hiring", not "highering". Sorry, I'm a grammar/spelling whore.); this project has been up on the Spark website at least since July.

Wow, I just saw this, and the amount of people that posted already is surprising. And this is huge news, more hope, hopefully not to be let down again.

But I also need to see this scan.

Whoops, sorry. I didn't see that. I heard of the project since July, but I guess they didn't start hiring additional workers until now.

Even though I doubt this to be true because I once ran into a problem at game-stop regarding battlefront 3. I just want to say if Spark Unlimited is the developer I want to take credit for pointed this out in a previous post. http://www.battlefront3.net/forums/view ... ?f=7&t=284 .
Just kidding I could care less, I'm just happy that there is an ounce of hope left.
