Not bad, I like that idea.

That didn't make sense back in BF1, why bring it back?

You can station various units on the planets you control, position your fleets in orbit, and each planet has a bonus associated with it.
That sounds much cooler than EAW. It would definitely add a little meat to it.

Lucasarts has to put that in there.

I don't want Galactic conquest to be befuddled to much with resources and what not, but I would like to see more of a tactical element involved.

Yes I do want that as well Arosenivai. The BF2 GC got boring after a while.

The only resource I remember in EaW was credits... Which I think works fine. You get regular payment, as well as bonuses for conquering planets/winning battles.

Also partially inspired by EaW, if you purchase a bonus or hero, you choose the fleet/planet that it will be situated on, rather than selecting it right before the battle.

I had another idea for unit classes, that involves customizing the loadouts of each class depending on the planet they are on. IE, you can give snipers on large open maps like Geonosis different equipment than you would in cramped places like Mustafar to allow for more strategic advantages. You could also adjust the loadout of the troops traveling with your fleets, and the hangar arrangement of space battles.

Not bad kelevra. I had something like that in mind.

Yeah. The real problem is organizing it so that you can make these changes quickly, and not worry about a million enemy fleets coming to attack while you're working.

It would be cool but that's probably is the fatal flaw of it.

Perhaps. I would prefer it be simple rather than hotkey-spammed though.

So I was thinking about GC, and was wondering what all of you thought about the spending credits to get different kinds of troopers. I am against it somewhat. I would like the only units you have to buy to be special units ( B2 battle droids, IG-100 series battle droid, Wookiee Warriors, Dark Troopers, etc..) What do you guys think?

I liked purchasing all of the units. I used a strategy thinking about how the AI worked and how the maps usually play out. At first keep the standard trooper because most of the AI just switch to the pistol for most classes anyway. Then when I need a sniper or rocket launcher for a particular map then go for it.

I liked that as well. It was hard to but them though. More credits.

But when space-ground is involved it becomes a different game. Aircraft without demo to take them out is broken, not to mention the need for engineers is even higher. (turrets etc.) I think the base units shouldn't be purchased in response to the probable new gameplay.
