That's how I was with the first one. Played a few times you'll memorize how to do the story. Also try out each of the six classes.

I play as vanguard, then later chose the assult rifle as my extra ability

Not counting as soldier. I only just started to play as different classed. Completed both Male Enginner and Female Adept shepards. Working on a Vanguard starting from ME1.

I played ME2 last night and laughed at that. What a coincidence.
