They should just erase the entire post-RotJ EU and start with a clean slate. OR go so far into the future that none of it matters anyway - same as KotOR did, only backwards.

But we really won't know until 2013, when production actually gets REALLY underway.

I would be careful of asking for a movie of a game that has already been made. It'd be awesome, but think about it. With TOR, Revan's face would have to be close enough to the TOR face, which I don't really think is a good thing as a main character.

Well I think that they can make a good movie and improve on everything (can only go up right? ) and maybe even get Battlefront 3 underway along with some other games (KOTOR3 and Republic Commando 2 anyone?)
