Why would George Lucas care? He barely has anything to do with the new Star Wars cartoon films let alone video games where he knows next to nothing about.

He also doesn't decide what goes in books, which is where the Yuzzhang Vong War came from. All he does is approve the creation of such a thing. He doesn't have to agree with it, he just needs to know it's going to make good amounts of money.

I doubt he even approves of anything rather than just making sure no one is using the Star Wars brand without his permission. Why would he though? He's rich, old, has a huge mansion, and load of nerds who would take a bullet for him, unless they've seen

But back to topic. Lucas never decides what goes in the machinima anymore. He just like it when people come up with great ideas for the Star Wars Franchise.
