As far as I know Rebellion has the rights to any Alien/Predator game or am I wrong? Secondly, even though Star Trek is getting more popular because of the now movie I personally don't think "a major publisher" would pay for it. That then leaves us with Star Wars. However with Microsoft out of a Halo developer I can only wonder if its a new Halo game. The only thing that really doesn't fit is "3rd person action/adventure game."On the other hand it could be a Mass Effect multiplayer game. Remember all the rumors a couple weeks back that the Bioware was going to announce a Mass Effect multiplayer at the VGA's? Well that didn't happen but maybe EA is having Spark do it. But then again " sword and gun fighting" doesn't exactly fit ME either. My conclusion is it must be Battlefront 3.
Well, "sword fighting" isn't a term I'd use to describe Battlefront - even if it is in the game. Unless they significantly increased the role of Jedi units.

Just to tell you, Halo is officially in the hands of 343 industries. You can google it or check this link.noodledrama wrote:However with Microsoft out of a Halo developer I can only wonder if its a new Halo game. And I would assume Bioware would give any multi-player work for mass effect to bioware austin

Thank you. As for the Jedi they did play a bigger role in the PSP games than in Battlefront 2. You also could use a vibro-sword/electro-staff as main weapons in Elite Squadrons.

343 industries are working on the next halo game using Halo Reach Tech and their new engine made by the new ms funded studio Firebird.noodledrama wrote:As far as I know Rebellion has the rights to any Alien/Predator game or am I wrong? "sword and gun fighting" i'm sorry but with sci-fi also included in the job description my gut feeling is telling me this is the new battlefront game, when i say sorry i honestly cannot think of anything else they could be working on.

Very nice Joelfigbars! I've been searching alot for connections between LucasArts and Spark. The only thing I could thought of are the following facts:
- Battlefront 3 is a problematic franchise
- Spark started work on their new sci-fi project one month after Paul Meegan joined LA as president.
- Paul Meegan was CEO & Co-Founder at Epic Games China.
- Epic Games are the makers and owners of the Unreal Engine
- Spark's project makes use of the Unreal Engine.
1 + 1 = 2. Get it? Its plausible that Meegan is very enthusiastic about this Unreal Engine engine and deceided to build this problematic third game with it.

This seems very possible.RP89 wrote: 1 + 1 = 2. Get it? Its plausible that Meegan is very enthusiastic about this Unreal Engine engine and deceided to build this problematic third game with it?

As many others, I also have my doubts about Spark being capable of handeling a game like Battlefront 3. People had doubts about Slant Six, but to be honest, I have more doubts about Spark. From what I've heard, Legendary and Turning Point were made in a very short timespan, so that could be the reason for the bad results. However those games had potential I think. Nevertheless, Free Radical was a good developer untill they released Haze.
I hope LA knows what they are doing.

New job listing at Spark for a senior animator. There was one sentence I found interesting regarding BF3:
"Experience in animating creatures, as well as, mechanical (machinery) animation"
