Alright. So, we all obviously want to see Battlefront 3. But, we also would like to know that the right people are running the show. But I kinda think this extends to way more than the Battlefront titles, since there were tons and tons of other fantastic SW games back in the good days.
So, I decided to put together this 'wishlist' thread all about who YOU would want to develop the next games in some of your favorite series', and why.
I'll start off with: Episode I Racer and Racer Revenge. I friggen love racing games, but I tend to prefer action-oriented racing games over sims. Episode 1 racer was flawed, but pretty damned fantastic. It had an excellent sense of speed, and you had to sport some pretty good coordination and attention to detail to navigate many of the later tracks and their shortcuts.
Racer Revenge was... disappointing. I liked that they put more emphasis of combat, but the pods were way, way tougher than what we saw in the previous game (and by extension, the films.) You could slam into a metal wall at top speed and you'd just get gently nudged back. What the crap is that? Not to mention that the sense of speed was dramatically reduced, even with full upgrades. So, combining my love of racing, and action, I think the best choice of developer for the next pod-racing game would be Criterion Games, the creators of the Burnout series, the sadly forgotten shooter BLACK, and 2010's Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. These guys know both their action and their racing. That, and watching podracers disintegrate in slow-mo, Burnout-style cinematics would be the best thing ever.
Next up: Bounty Hunter. Another game that I really, really liked. Unfortunately, I felt that it was way, way too straight forward and linear. It was just one long corridor of shooting people, tying them up, and scanning every. single. thing. in the world to try and find and capture bounties. Unfortunately it got kinda of irritating, and it always boiled down to going on a rampage through the level. Doesn't really scream Bounty Hunter to me. Taking after a few recent games, I would hope that the next Bounty Hunter game be a joint-effort, between Rocksteady Studios (Batman: Arkham Asylum/Arkham City) and Rockstar Games (Red Dead Redemption/Grand Theft Auto).
You combine the massive opened worlds and storytelling of the GTA games, with the ridiculous amount of weapons, gadgets and methods to go about your objectives in the Batman games. So, players that want to go nuts and enter a mission guns-blazing can do just that, while others can more stealthy or indirect approaches. Also, instead of the irritating method of scanning everything you come across to see if there's a price on it, actually having a nice little checklist of wanted individuals that you have to actually track down and capture/kill would be a bit less infuriating.
And I'm out of steam. I guess I'll toss up some more later. Meanwhile, feel free to post your own. Or direct me to a LucasArts employee that I can kick in the head until they learn to do things right,

Wait for Prey 2 to get your Bounty Hunter fix.
KotOR3, BioWare. One of the best RPGs ever made needs a proper single player sequel.
That's really the only Star Wars game that needs to exist other than Battlefront 3 (for me).

I would love if they made an Ace Combat styled Star Wars game similar to Star Fighter and Jedi SF but with multiplayer and not just co-op. I would love if they added the ability to fly cruises and capitol ships.
I would also like a Pod Racing game and an RTS game like Empire at War.
